With a new poster recently released, and the movie less than a month away, the excitement for Warner Brother’s “Justice League” is at its peak. DC fans cannot wait until their favourite characters arrive on screen November 17th, myself included. With the film not giving much away, and details still up for debate, here are four things I am hoping for in “Justice League.”
Number One: A Character Development for The Flash
As of now, we have seen a lot of Barry Allen and his alter ego, The Flash. The Speed Force, his powers, and more. This is all great, but I would like to see these ideas expanded upon in the movie. I hope to learn about Barry’s connection to the speed force, and how it looks when he is running. As well, I would like to see him be used more as a plot character, and not just the comic relief. If these make it into the film, Flash fans will be proud.
Number Two: Green Lantern
Now this one is big! At the end of the latest trailer, Alfred is seen talking to an unseen character, and what he said has our minds turning. “He said you’d come, now let's hope you’re not too late.” On first watch, it could certainly be thought that the character is Superman, who we know is in the movie for sure. However, could it be Green Lantern? Hal Jordan has not made a live-action appearance since the unfortunately received “Green Lantern” (2011). Is this his redemption? We will see soon enough!
Number Three: Amazing Team-Ups
With all the members of the team having such diverse and unique skills, it would be a show-stopper to see them interact and team up. In the trailers, we see a little bit of this, but of course in the actual film, there are plenty more opportunities. I can already see the moment when Cyborg and The Flash are combining flight and speed. These displays would also showcase the friendship and camaraderie the audience wants these characters to have with each other. With all these fantastic pairs, theatres everywhere will go wild.
Number Four: A Joker and Harley Quinn Post Credit Scene
With the Joker and Harley Quinn being two of DC's biggest villains, there has been much speculation of a film starring the clown prince and princess of crime. Luckily for fans, these rumours seem very close to becoming reality, and those two should be sharing the silver screen sometime soon. Now, just like the Marvel Cinematic Universe has infamous post-credit scenes, which tease future movies or characters, I would like “Justice League” have an after-credits pointing towards THIS future movie. It would be nice to see those two again, and would make me very excited for the upcoming films in the DCEU.
These are my four hopes for “Justice League”, which is arriving in theatres November 17th, 2017.
