Christina Apollonio is a grade 12 student with a passion for music. She is an aspiring songwriter and producer with 3 singles available on all music platforms: “Wallpaper” (2018), “Heartache” (2018), and “Thinking of You” (2019).
Christina has won many awards for her talent, has auditioned and passed the first stage of American Idol, and wishes to produce more albums in the future. She plans to attend the University of Michigan to study law and hopes to have a career as a lawyer with her own law firm.
Around the school, Christina busies herself with her studies as well as extracurricular activities. She is involved in the St. Joe’s choir, drama club, mock trial, and participates in school events as a singer. This month, she will perform during the St. Joseph’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.
Christina has gigs all over Windsor and parts of the United States. She also sings at weddings, charity events, and festivals. For her community service hours, Christina volunteers at Our Lady of Atonement Parish making rosary bracelets that are sent worldwide to those who need prayers. She also spends her extra time at Lifetimes on Riverside Retirement Residence performing for, and visiting with the elderly.
Christina’s advice for everyone, especially junior students is to “Always try your best, and give no care about what others think of you. As long as you can stay true to yourself, nothing can stop you!”
Keep an eye out for Christina on October 17th as she sings “O Canada” at the Alumni Hockey Game, and October 18th as she performs during the Alumni Open House!
