The junior Lasers lost their most recent home game against the Massey Mustangs. On Thursday, the girls hit the court with lots of energy and solid passes. It was a fast game from both schools, but by the end of the first half, the Lasers were unable to close up the point gap and were behind going into the third period. During the second half of the game, the juniors tried to take the lead, but fell short against the tough defense and quick offense from the Mustangs. The game ended with a score of 16-44. “It was a tough game to beat, but the girls did their best and gave great effort!” said Bhea C., a grade ten player on the team.

The senior girls showed great teamwork and endurance throughout their game. Although they fell behind at the end of the second quarter, they picked up their game and attempted to even up the score with Massey in the third quarter. Vanessa V. was the senior team's leading scorer followed by Katie M. who helped the team catch up when they were behind 20 points. The game resulted in a close 51-56 loss for the senior Lasers.

The next game for both the junior and senior teams is Monday, October 16th at St. Joes. Make sure to come and support them as they take on the Assumption Raiders!
