On October 25th, 2017 the St Joseph’s Laser News team set up a booth in the Learning Commons during first and second period.
Since the team has many exciting events coming up this year, they decided to fundraise to be able to afford transportation and essentials needed by the team.
From 8:50AM to 11:30AM the team served approximately 70+ drinks to teachers, students and local poets visiting the school. They sold coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
Special shoutout to Mr. Polewski for buying his whole second period class drinks! Mr. Sokolowski, or Mr. Soks, is also deeply appreciated for lending the team his hot water and coffee urns along with sugar packets.
Thanks to the generosity from everyone who donated, the Laser News team earned more than half of the goal before period 2 started. They have fundraised more than their set goal, and that just shows the immense amount of school spirit that St. Joes’ holds within its community.
