An aspiring musician, athlete, and comic book guru, Ethan Dufour is a Grade 9 student who is eager to learn and try everything. He has lived in Windsor his whole life, and previously went to St John Vianney Elementary School for the entirety of his elementary years. The past three months of high school have served him well. He loves the way that St Joseph's is lively and welcoming to new students, and hopes to continue creating fond memories at school.

Ethan has accomplished many personal goals, along with gaining some new skills. He is very proud to say that he is an excellent drummer, knows a variety of music on the drums, and sometimes even creates his own music! In terms of sports, Ethan is a hockey player, and looks at some of his medals and awards with pride. He is also proud that he tried out the game of lacrosse for two years. By looking at his list of successes, it is clear that Ethan is up to try whatever new things that he can, and is always on the lookout for a way to improve.

Since he plays the drums, concert band was definitely on Ethan’s radar this year. Concert band is a great club where students of all the grade levels come together to express their musical talent! Ethan says that he really enjoys the band, as it has given him a chance to meet new people who have the same interests as him. There are also exciting benefits, such as going on interesting trips and playing concerts in front of his fellow students and classmates. It is the perfect way for him to practice and improve in his instrument, while having a positive experience at the same time.

Something else that may be unknown about Ethan is that he is a huge fan of any kind of comic book or superheroes, primarily the Star Wars series. Surprisingly enough, he even has a place to talk about that obsession; the United Fandoms club. This school activity is pop culture heaven. Ethan says that each week, he and other members talk about their interests and share ideas and theories. They also make art and other projects. He really enjoys attending the meetings every week, because he gets to be himself and talk about the things that he loves. The United Fandoms Club meet every Thursday, and are always accepting new members.

As for the future, Ethan hopes that he will be able to carry on his family’s legacy. What is that legacy exactly? Well, his father and his grandma are both nurses, and that is exactly what he wants to be as well. Ethan is amazed by the amount of people who are saved each day by his dad and all of the other hospital staff, and wants to be able to help others in the same way.
