Meet Brayden Walls

Brayden Walls is an active, friendly and talented grade ten student. He’s best known at St. Joe’s for his athletic prowess in basketball and volleyball.

Brayden attended Corpus Christi Middle School (CCMS) in his grade 7 and 8 years. “Corpus Christi was very different than the schools in Windsor because we only had grade 7’s and 8’s,” said Brayden. He also mentioned that CCMS did not offer regular recess like other elementary schools because they wanted to prepare students for the “one long lunch break” experience. Also, students wore uniforms to further assist with the transition to a high school dress code. During his grade 7 and 8 years, Brayden participated in many sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer and track.

Outside of school, Brayden plays travel basketball and baseball. Currently, he does not have a job or volunteer, but has been thoroughly researching opportunities in both.

Brayden’s biggest accomplishment in high school so far was winning the junior boys WECSSAA finals. “It was a great experience to live out with my team. It was nice to build relationships with my teammates on the road to the finals."

Brayden is interested in pursuing a career in human kinetics. He is inspired by his father, who also has a career in human kinetics. “I want to make my dad proud and get a degree in this field.”

Finally, some advice Brayden has for grade nine students is to “always work hard and achieve what you want in your life. It’s all possible.”
