The seniors boys volleyball team started, and ended their first game with a success! The boys played with courage and wonderful technique, dominating Vista in the end with a great score of 2 sets to 1.

“The game was slow paced I found. However due to the fact that it was the first game of the season, the boys showed a lot of effort, but a lot of errors in serving and passing kept Vista in the game, making our job harder,” quoted Haiden, the middle hitter on the team. However despite their errors, the boys did an excellent job in serve receive and had some amazing hits during the game.

What a great way to start off the season boys!

Thursday afternoon, the junior boys volleyball team faced off against the Vista Vortex in their first home game of the season. The Lasers started the game off strong, with a great offense and defense, to win the first set. They kept up the energy but were narrowly defeated in the second set. The boys were unable to bounce back in the third set despite continuing to play hard and lost the game with a final score of 1 set to 2.

The boys dug deep and showed awesome Laser spirit and teamwork, making it a great game to cheer on. Many students came out to support both the senior and junior teams, almost filling the stands completely. The Lasers hit the court next Thursday as they play the Leamington Lions.
